IIDS
[Interactive Intelligent Distributed Systems -- long term commitment]The IIDS research group at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, started as an NLnet initiative in 2000. The group's research focuses on management of large-scale interactive distributed systems, in particular on mobile agent systems. Self-management is the ultimate goal. The AgentScape framework, services, applications, and analyses of legal implications of the use of agent systems, are all means to increase the potential of such new technology.

- 2006/08/03: With the release of AgentScape version 0.8.0, the project's software has moved into public space: demonstrable results of the research are available to end-users. See the website of AgentScape for the latest release.
